Chelsea interest in striker confirmed, Blues given green light sign£66.6M Gem, Maresca green light for January deal

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news, good and transfer latest from icfootballnews that we think you guys could have missed today…

According to reporter David Ornstein, speaking on The Athletic FC Podcast, Liam Delap is now on Chelsea’s radar just a few months after he made a £20m move to Ipswich.

CHELSEA may be sitting second in the Premier League and looking like a side that could really challenge for that Premier League title, but there has been alot of speculation that a new striker is wanted at the club in January, or at the end of the campaign.

Christopher Nkunku has been banging in the goals in the European games, but he is not getting the game time that he would like in the Premier League and there has been alot of speculation that he could look to leave the club, with reports suggesting that PSG are interested in a deal.

Nicolas Jackson has started the season in decent fashion and seems to be the number one striker for Enzo Maresca, but despite the impressive performances, there is still some doubt that he has the ability to score 25-30 goals a season in the Premier League, which is what top teams needs these days.

There has been some massive named linked with a move to Chelsea, but if you believe the words of Ornestein, Chelsea are now one of the clubs that are interested in signing the impressive Delap, he said: “And through multiple conversations I had, it was clear that, you know, the biggest guns, the so-called top six, members of that, call it elite bracket if you like, such as your Chelsea’s, your Manchester United’s, are taking a very close look.

‘They’re monitoring, they’ve got interest in him. They’ve got interest in lots of players.

“I’m not just saying it’s him, but he’s on these transfer lists, the recruitment targets that they weigh up. They constantly consider the qualities of, the drawbacks, the data and so on.

‘That’s brought the information to me that if he continues on this rise, we’re going to be dealing with somebody that Ipswich face a battle, maybe even a struggle to keep hold of next summer, even if they stay in the Premier League.”

MARESCA GIVES JANUARY GREEN LIGHT

Journalist Graeme Bailey has predicted to The Chelsea Chronicle that Carney Chukwuemeka will get himself a move away from the club in January, a she is a player that Enzo Maresca feels is not needed at the club for the rest of the season.

The midfielder has endured an injury-laden time at CHELSEA since signing from Aston Villa, and he has only made one appearance for the Blues this season, a 14-minute cameo in their 5-0 win against League Two outfit Barrow.

Now it has been claimed that Chelsea are open to letting the midfielder leave the club in the summer, and Marcesa has given the green light over a possible transfer move to happen.

But there has mostly been interest in signing Chukwuemeka on loan, and Yahoo Sports understands that is also Milan’s preference as they look for low-cost options to bolster their midfield for this January, but the star could still get a move away in the winter window.

He said: “We know he’s not got a future there. That could be a permanent deal, but given how much they paid for him, his wages, a loan with a view is always most likely. There’s a bit of interest. I expect Chukwuemeka to get a move in January.”

CHELSEA was a big move for the lad and one that has clearly not worked out – it was the wrong decision at the wrong time for the lad and his career so the best thing for him and the club is to depart.

there will probably be a few clubs interested – although it may be that Carney spends the next few seasons on loan moves rather than getting that permanent move that he needs.

He needs a move away for Chelsea for the sake of his career, that is for sure.

CHELSEA FREE TO SIGN SIMONS

There may be a chance for CHELSEA to sign up Xavi Simons in the next transfer window, as there has now been some reports which have claimed that PSG are very much open to the idea of letting the gifted midfielder leave the club.

The 21-year-old, after bagging 19 goals and eight assists during a loan at PSV Eindhoven last season, and racked up seven goals and 16 assists during his stint at RB Leipzig during the last campaign

According toFichajes., the young Dutch midfielder will not continue at RB Leipzig once his loan ends, and The Parisian team will seek to sell him permanently, generating great interest in the international market.

The reports add that the Premier League and LaLiga appear as the most likely destinations, with top-level clubs attentive to his possible departure, A the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United have all been linked with a possible move for the lad in recent windows.

Simons is a brilliant talent and if CHELSEA manage to sign the lad he will be a great signing – it is as simple as that. So if PSG are really interested in cashing in on the lad in the next few transfer windows, he will be a great signing for any club..

But it will be interesting to see where he makes the next move too as that will determine what level in the game he is able to reach.

However – we would love to see the lad in the Premier League that is for sure.
