Nottingham Forest are leading the race to sign a striker ahead of the January transfer window.
Chris Wood has been the main contributor for Nottingham Forest in the Premier League so far this season, scoring nine goals in 14 appearances.
The nearest to the New Zealand international is Callum Hudson-Odoi on two goals, with the rest of them sitting on just one goal a piece.
This is a cause for concern, as an injury to Wood could prove fatal as we head into a busy period, making January so important.
Interestingly, it appears as if Nottingham Forest already have their eyes on a striker and are currently in a promising position.

Nottingham Forest most interested in signing Yuri Alberto
Reports have suggested that Yuri Alberto is a target for Nottingham Forest, and he’s even expressed his desire to secure a move to the Premier League.
“I have a big dream of playing in Europe. I stayed at Zenit and ended up coming back because I couldn’t compete in European tournaments due to the war. I am very happy here at Corinthians but, if an opportunity arises that benefits both Corinthians and myself, I am open to [leaving].

Now, it’s being claimed that Nottingham Forest are battling Southampton and West Ham.
According to Trivela (as per Sport Witness), Nottingham Forest are the ‘most interested’ team when it comes to the 23-year-old.
Alberto has an €80m (£66m) release clause, but Corinthians would sell him for €30m (£25m).
Yuri Alberto on fire in Brazil
Yuri Alberto has featured 56 times this season, scoring a whopping 30 goals and laying on seven assists.
The Brazilian is bang in form, scoring 10 goals in his last eight league games.
Nottingham Forest are willing to pay the £25 million Corinthians are asking for, so a fee shouldn’t be an issue in the January transfer window.
Murillo could also be another factor, with his rise to stardom in England proving the City Ground is an attractive destination to really prosper in the Premier League.
