**Renee Slegers has provided an injury update on her Arsenal squad ahead of their clash with Aston Villa in the Women's Super League this Sunday at the Emirates Stadium.**
Slegers fronted the media following confirmation [she will remain the interim head coach](https://www.90min.com/renee-slegers-remain-arsenal-interim-head-coach-until-christmas) of the north London club until the Christmas break.
The 35-year-old gave an update on Lia Walti, who withdrew from the Switzerland national team before the recent international break.
"Lia is recovering well," updated Slegers. "She is still in Switzerland, so we'll see when she comes back."
Steph Catley also raised concerns after the defender withdrew from the Australia lineup to face Brazil during the week. Slegers confirmed Catley will be fit to face the Villans after she "looked good" in Friday's "full session".
Slegers also provided a fitness update on Victoria Pelova, who ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament earlier in the year. Slegers confirmed the Netherlands international is back training with the squad in "some sessions".
Wholesome news has arrived from north London as Amanda Ilestedt returned to the training centre after giving birth to her first child earlier in the year.
Slegers confirmed Ilestedt is "back in the building" and training with a few of the players during the international break.
She said: "It's nice to have Amanda back in the building together with a little baby. It's a nice addition. I think it brings a new dynamic. It will take some time, it's a big thing happening to a female body to give birth but she's doing really well on the time frame. There's no specific time frame that I can share with you, but she was training with us."
