Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard and his wife Helene Spilling have announced the birth of their first child.

In August, the lovebirds posted a black-and-white photo by the sea to announce the pregnancy, writing: '1+1 = 3. Can't wait to meet you, our little baby.'

The couple again took to social media to announce the arrival of the baby as they posted a photo of them holding the newborn's hand.

'We love you so much, our little baby boy.' the pair wrote on Instagram.

The birth of the child came on Sunday, a day after Arsenal's thrilling 5-2 win over West Ham at the London Stadium.

Odegaard and Spilling were first seen in public as a couple at the London Football Awards in March 2023 and he regularly crops up in her social media feed.

The couple are now married but the Gunners star has not made a song and dance about it on social media.

Norwegian newspaper Verdens Gang says he has changed his status to married in the national register while she has adjusted her name to Helene Spilling Odegaard.

Spilling won the 2021 edition of Norway's dance show, 'Skal vi danse', which is like the UK's Strictly Come Dancing.

She also has 17 gold medals in the Norwegian national championships for ballroom dancing.

The 28-year-old boasts an impressive Instagram following of 180,000 and is the founder of a dance studio as well as a fashion brand.

She is a keen follower of Odegaard's football career, appearing in the stands at the Emirates and for his international games.

In April, she was seen dancing to Shakira's 'Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)' - which has become the anthem for Kai Havertz - after a 5-0 win over Chelsea during which Odegaard bagged two assists.

Spilling's spirits were clearly at a high as she danced away in the stands, while Odegaard applauded the home fans after the victory.

At the Global Gift Gala in London last month, Odegaard was pictured smiling in his tuxedo alongside pregnant girlfriend Helene Spilling, who showed her baby bump in a brown one-shoulder satin dress.
