Real Madrid are already plotting another raid on Liverpool as they are eyeing Trent Alexander-Arnold’s purchase on a free transfer next year. The Englishman has yet to renew his contract at Anfield, so a departure for the Santiago Bernabeu seems like a very realistic option following the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
It has now emerged that Alexander-Arnold is not the Liverpool player on Madrid’s radar with the defending European champions also pondering over the purchase of Ryan Gravenberch, [according to Give Me Sport](https://www.givemesport.com/liverpool-transfer-news-real-madrid-want-ryan-gravenberch-trent-alexander-arnold-anfield/). Real’s interest in the Dutch international comes off the back of Aurelien Tchouameni’s poor run of form which has contributed to the team’s poor overall displays this year.
The Frenchman was on Liverpool’s radar before he signed for Real Madrid in a lucrative swoop from AS Monaco and while he exceeded expectations in his first couple of years in the Spanish capital, his form over the past few weeks has come under the scanner and has also linked Los Blancos with a deeper-lying midfielder, more so after Toni Kroos’ retirement in the summer.

Real Madrid keen on Liverpool star Ryan Gravenberch.
Liverpool, however, have no plans of letting go of Gravenberch. The former Bayern Munich star remains firmly in their plans, especially following Arne Slot’s appointment as Jurgen Klopp’s replacement earlier in 2024. He has featured prominently in the manager’s plans, plus with a contract valid until June 2028, the Reds have little to worry about over his situation.
In spite of the 22-year-old’s impressive form, Martin Zubimendi remains on the club’s radar. The Spaniard could check in from Real Sociedad next summer, which could jeopardise Gravenberch’s involvement. If that were to be the case, an Anfield departure could present itself as a realistic option but for the immediate future, Real Madrid’s interest can be comfortably ignored.
