No soccer team in the world has had more success over the last five years than Manchester City. Led by manager Pep Guardiola, the Ctiyzens have dominated the Premier League, finally won the the UEFA Champions League, and have become one of, if not the world’s biggest brand in the sport.
But lately, the walls of the castle have begun to crumble down around City and Guardiola. The club is facing an unprecedented number of charges from the English FA over claims of financial improprieties. It has lost four of its last five Premier League matches to slip from first to fourth in the table, and Guardiola went through a very public meltdown that left him bloodied and with fans worrying for his mental health.

Liverpool Fan Shares Video Of Verbal Altercation With Man City’s Pep Guardiola
Guardiola did little to assuage those concerns on Friday after a video emerged of him lashing out at a Liverpool fan while out on the town. The fan takes a video of Guardiola as he walked by before saying “—kin’ hell, mate, just cause you lost?”
That seemingly innocuous comment sent Guardiola over the edge. He turned around to confront of the fan before security stepped in.
“You know what is lost,” he then repeats multiple times in the direction of the fan.
Now, on one hand, I find that confronting celebrities in their downtime is pretty lame. Let the man eat his dinner and go home in peace. But also, the comment seemed fairly mild. We didn’t see the beginning of the interaction, but if that’s all that was said then Guardiola really needs to relax.
If he’s that emotional about a random comment on the street, then it may be time to step away from managing for a little bit, because clearly he’s feeling a bit overwhelmed by it all.
