The Gunners are said to have identified the highly-rated winger as a good "market opportunity".
The report states that Spurs and Newcastle also have shown an interest in the player, although they have just made an approach to the player's agent Carlos Leite.
LA Galaxy signed the Brazilian player from Vasco da Gama in January and his contract with the MLS club runs until 2028.
