Ibrahima Konate has paid tribute to team-mate Mo Salah
Mo Salah could often be described as a stoic figure.
There are occasions where he has lost his cool, and his recent outspoken comments over his contract are perhaps a rare example of the Liverpool star seeking to improve his own standing in an outward expression. But, more often than not, Salah is a pillar of composure in front of goal even with his intense desire for success.
The Egyptian international is even able to call upon his composure in the face of ignorant disrespect and discrimination. One incident particularly left Ibrahima Konate in awe of his teammate.
Detailing some of the issues he faces, Konate revealed an occasion where Salah visited Paris and faced issues in a shop. The central defender commended the Egyptian star for how he handled the situation.

"Playing for the French team does not prevent me from experiencing a few more mishaps," Konate told So Foot, per Sport Witness.
“At the airport, for example, when I return to Liverpool, I take my business ticket to be in front and pass more quickly.
“When I arrive at Charles-de-Gaulle, the person hasn’t even seen my ticket yet and directs me to the other line. What’s the message behind that? It’s just a person like me has no place in business.

“One day, he (Salah) came to Paris, and at the airport, people didn’t know who he was. In a store, the employees spoke to him in a… let’s say discriminatory tone.
“Mohamed Salah, he is an extremely patient person. In this kind of situation, he does not react. He knows what he is worth, and he accepted the world in which we live. When a traveller recognised him, the tone of the employees changed radically: ‘Ah, Mr. Salah, what do you need?’ For us, you have to be someone well-known to be esteemed.”
Konate is said to be in discussions over a new contract at Liverpool with his current deal set to expire in 2026. The France international has proven an important part of Arne Slot's backline.
Salah meanwhile has yet to see much progress in extending his deal which runs out at the end of the season. Liverpool's top goalscorer this season revealed last weekend he had yet to be offered a new deal.
