Paris Saint-Germain made a short-term move by loaning Xavi Simons to RB Leipzig for another season, but a more permanent decision is likely to be made next summer, potentially through a transfer sale.
In September, journalist Christian Falk reported that Manchester City and Liverpoolare closely monitoring Simons’ situation. This summer, top clubs likeBayern Munich, Barcelona, and Manchester United also expressed interest in the young talent.
According to Sport Bild, Leipzig are eager to sign the attacking midfielder in January. Simons, currently on loan from PSG with a contract until 2027, has shown little desire to return to the French capital.
While talks are ongoing,Leipzig’s biggest hurdle isPSG’s €80 million asking price, which is proving to be a significant obstacle for the German club.
