Many of the Cherries who started and played against Tottenham will come into the game with tired legs – which could well lead to some surprises in Andoni Iraola’s starting lineup.
Here’s how the Daily Echo predicts Bournemouth to start on Sunday at Portman Road.
Goalkeeper
This will be one position which is unlikely to change – Kepa Arrizabalaga was good against Spurs and has looked more assured in recent weeks, so he will get the starting spot once again.
Defenders
There are some injury concerns in the backline for Bournemouth, so I expect Iraola will go for the same back four that kept a clean sheet and played so well on Thursday night.
Milos Kerkez will continue at left back, with Illia Zabarnyi and Dean Huijsen pairing at centre back.
(Image: Richard Crease) One change that the boss might make is to rotate out Adam Smith and start Max Aarons, but the skipper will likely get the starting berth once again.
Midfielders
Tyler Adams has been excellent in the past two games, in particular against Spurs, but he may be given a bit of a rest and start from the bench, Lewis Cook coming in to replace him.
Ryan Christie played 77 minutes of the Spurs game, and he should get the nod to partner Cook.
Forwards
Antoine Semenyo and Justin Kluivert both started on Thursday night but were subbed off in the second half.
(Image: Richard Crease) It is likely that they will both start again on Sunday, but Marcus Tavernier, who played all 90 minutes midweek, could be handed a rest and replaced by Dango Ouattara.
Up front, it may be that Iraola chooses to go for Enes Unal from the beginning, although Evanilson’s performances of late mean the starting spot is his to lose – the only question will be if he has recovered enough to start.
Full lineup: Kepa; Kerkez, Zabarnyi, Huijsen, Adams; Cook, Christie; Ouattara, Kluivert, Semenyo; Evanilson.
