The Everton takeover has just taken its biggest turn yet, as a new takeover date has been set.
One thing that could change for the prospective new owners is their stance on Sean Dyche, as they’ve been tipped to potentially keep him until the end of the season as long as relegation isn’t a worry.
There have been murmurs here and there about potential completion dates for the Everton takeover, as Alan Myers has predicted that it will be announced next week.
The most important thing at this stage is that the takeover is set for completion, never mind the potential date it could be completed on.
Interestingly, it appears as if there’s a new takeover completion date being floated around, and it’s even closer to Christmas than Myers suggested.

Everything is coming together at the perfect time for the Friedkin Group, which looks like it will allow Dan Friedkin to be in the hotseat at Everton before Christmas.

According to iNews, behind-the-scenes work has intensified in the last week in preparation for the arrival of the Friedkin Group at Everton.
Next week is viewed as “optimistic” for confirmation of the takeover, with the final regulatory hurdles being cleared in time for Dan Friedkin to be in office at the start of the week before Christmas.
The report states this feels hugely significant given how close we have come to this point before.
What’s on the agenda for the new Everton owners?
The January transfer window will be important, given how close it will be to the announcement.
Squad depth has been an issue with all the injuries suffered already this season at Goodison Park, plus the likes of Jarrad Branthwaite, Beto and Dominic Calvert-Lewin have been linked with exits.
An attacking midfielder and a left-back may be required.
Vitalii Mykolenko has struggled this season, and there’s not much competition. Meanwhile, Dwight McNeil has been forced to play centrally.
