Trent Alexander-Arnold admits Arne Slot's tactics have been "mind-blowing" with the new Liverpool boss quickly leaving an impression.
Slot had the unenviable task of trying to replace Jurgen Klopp in the summer, but has made light work of it so far. The Reds sit top of the Premier League and already enjoy a comfortable buffer whilst they've won all of their games in the Champions League.
The Dutchman has worked solely with the squad he inherited, but put his own stamp on things with Liverpool playing with more control than they used to.
Alexander-Arnold - who has played with the backdrop of his contract saga rumbling on - believes the players have been quick to embrace what Slot wants from them and that has allowed them to produce their best football.
He told TNT Sports : "The style with which he coaches, and the style with which we play and the identity we have as a team is something that is there to see. We're all enjoying it, he's getting the best out of players, that's all you want as a player. We're all willing to learn to improve.
"That's what you want, he's someone who will coach that into us. Like you've seen, the lads have bought into it from day one. That's what you need as a new manager, when you've got willing lads to learn and receive feedback, then you're halfway there The tactics are mind-blowing as well. If I'm honest, I don't think anyone would have said we'd be as good as we are."
Slot does not have the charisma of Jurgen Klopp, who was a household name when he arrived at Anfield back in 2015. He is a more unassuming character but had enjoyed successful with Feyenoord and the Liverpool right-back is not surprised by his impact.

He added: "Looking back to the first few days of meeting him, it's not that much of a surprise to me now - because of how in-depth and in detail he is. And the level of detail he goes into, it really doesn't surprise me that we look so good as a team, because he's drilled that into us."
Alexander-Arnold is still yet to sign a new deal at Anfield with the player's contract expiring this summer. There has been interest from Real Madrid, but they will only take him on a free. Liverpool also have Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk's contracts to sort in the coming weeks.
