Here, the ECHO takes a look at some of the latest Liverpool transfer news and gossip that have generated headlines over the last 24 hours.
Liverpool are being linked with a move for Brighton forward Joao Pedro. According to journalist Francois Plateau, the Reds are weighing up a move to sign Pedro during the January transfer window.
The report claims that Liverpool have "sounded out" Pedro as a potential target as they prepare for the window opening in the New Year. The striker has scored four goals in eight appearances for the Seagulls this season, most notably against Manchester United, Arsenal and Man City.
There have been no suggestions of a potential price tag that Brighton would demand for Pedro. The 23-year-old moved to the Amex Stadium in the summer of 2023 for a reported fee of around £30 million.
Elsewhere, Liverpool are continuing to be linked with a move for Bayer Leverkusen defender Jeremie Frimpong. According to Caught Offside, the Reds remain in contact over the possibility of signing Frimpong in the summer of 2025.
Reports have been swirling for several weeks claiming that Frimpong is Liverpool's No.1 target to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold if he leaves Anfield. Alexander-Arnold's contract with the Reds is set to expire at the end of the season, and the club remain in talks with his representatives over a potential extension.
The latest report claims that Liverpool have a "strong" interest in Frimpong, but will only move for the Netherlands international in the event that Alexander-Arnold leaves the club. The Reds will also reportedly face competition from Real Madrid and Man City for Frimpong's signature.
