Mutiny chaos as five West Ham stars unite to try and force owners to sack Lopetegui

Utter chaos is enveloping West Ham United after yet more damning and worrying revelations from a journalist overnight.

West Ham may have to revisit their decision to stand by Julen Lopetegui after the defeat to Leicester.

A board summit meeting was held over video call on Thursday to decide LopeteguI’s fate following the 3-1 loss at the King Power.

It came after West Ham’s away following turned on the manager, demanding he be sacked.

But the owners elected to keep the Spaniard in charge for at least the Wolves match on Monday.

In a Hammers News exclusive, West Ham said they felt “morally obligated” to give Lopetegui another game.

Fans have been outraged by the decision, turning their fury on the owners.

It seems West Ham’s players are now doing everything in their power to get David Sullivan and co to reverse their controversial decision.

Claims of unrest in the ranks have dogged West Ham all season long.

Lopetegui had a major bust-up with star player Mohammed Kudus at Brentford.

It has since been rather suspiciously leaked to the press that Jarrod Bowen had to intervene as £32m summer signing Jean-Clair Todibo swung for Lopetegui during a disagreement at half-time of the shambolic 5-2 defeat to Arsenal.

A top club source claims fans have been lied to about chaos behind the scenes at West Ham.

Earlier this week, two top Hammers stars made an ultimatum to the owners that they would leave if Lopetegui isn’t sacked.

But the board stuck by the manager.

Now there’s full scale mutiny chaos as five West Ham stars unite to try and force the owners to sack Lopetegui.

Mutiny chaos as five West Ham stars unite

According to Give Me Sport sources, Todibo, Kudus and £26.5m signing Niclas Fullkrug have made it clear they want out unless the board reverse their decision on the manager.

The lack of public support for Lopetegui from the squad in the wake of recent rumours has been notable.

Silence from the Hammers squad has been deafening.

But it’s clear top stars are now uniting in a show of player power to force the club’s hand on the manager.

Sources state Todibo, Kudus and Fullkrug all have a very difficult relationship with the Hammers boss.

And it’s claimed that key decision-makers behind the scenes are now fearing an exodus led by Kudus, Fullkrug and Todibo.

Fullkrug has made it clear he does not understand Lopetegui’s decision-making. Kudus and the boss don’t get on after their row and Lopetegui’s continued insistence on playing him out of position on the left wing.

Player power as stars try to force owners to sack Lopetegui

Hammers News understands that Lopetegui had French defender Todibo training with the Under 21s after their bust-up.

The ex Barca star is also said to be unimpressed after joining West Ham in the belief they would be challenging for Europe.

It comes after Edson Alvarez and Guido Rodriguez also told the club they want to leave in January if Lopetegui remains in charge.

Alvarez and Lopetegui do not get on at all and the Mexican wants out if Lopetegui stays.

West Ham’s head coach actually pushed the club to sign Argentine Rodriguez against the wishes of Tim Steidten.

But even they have fallen out after Lopetegui reportedly singled him out for ridicule in front of the group.

West Ham have created an even bigger problem for themselves with both players and fans by retaining the beleaguered manager.

Sullivan and co were handed the perfect opportunity to sack the 58-year-old after Leicester.

Now it is carnage behind the scenes with over £150m worth of talent wanting out.
