Gunners hold initial talks with Wolves forward

Arsenal have held initial talks with Wolves forward Matheus Cunha about the possibility of a future move.

Despite playing in a struggling team, that are currently in the thick of the relegation battle, Cunha has caught the eye with his performances, which have shown a combination of creativity and finishing ability.

That has seen a host of other clubs take interest in the Brazilian, with Manchester United Villa, and Tottenham among his Premier League suitors, whilst AC Milan and Napoli are among his foreign admirers.

Wolves are determined to hang on to one of their major assets and are prepared to offer him a new long-term contract which would tie him to Molineux until 2029.

However, a club like Arsenal can offer Cunha the chance to play in the Champions League and to contest for major honours, something that is unlikely to happen whilst he remains in the West Midlands.

He follows most major leagues, across Europe at least, and has a favoured team in each. When he’s not watching, listening, reading or downloading podcasts about football, he spend his time worrying about his beloved Arsenal.
