Recently, rumours around Odsonne Edouard being recalled by Crystal Palace have been heating up.
Oliver Glasner needs attacking reinforcements in January to bolster a struggling offence. The team has only scored 12 goals in 14 games this season, the second-lowest tally in the Premier League behind only Southampton.
Due to this, Crystal Palace are keen to make signings in January. This process has already begun with talks underway for Romain Esse.
However, this deal would be in advance of summer 2025. But Glasner has demanded January additions to the forward line to bolster his options.
The Eagles do have the option of bolstering by recalling loan players.

With some talented players out on loan, this could be a viable option for Crystal Palace to strengthen the attacking options this season.
Crystal Palace have been rumoured to be recalling Odsonne Edouard, with Leicester City unhappy with his performances.

However, on Friday, during his pre-Manchester City press conference, Glasner outlined whether the Eagles are considering taking Edouard back.
“We always follow our loan players,” Glasner said. “But, to be honest, especially this week with three games, it’s not my highest priority to think about Odsonne [Edouard].
“I don’t know about the contract details. From our side, It makes no sense to bring him back because if he’s not playing at Leicester, then why should he play for Crystal Palace?
“It was the same situation in the summer. Maybe he decided to get more minutes there. We explained the situation. The situation didn’t change at the end of the transfer window. It’s up to him and his agent.
“If he doesn’t get minutes at Leicester, then maybe he finds another loan. But it’s not the case of him coming back to play.
“He didn’t get many minutes there, so the situation is even worse when he comes back. It just makes no sense.”
So, it certainly looks unlikely that Edouard will be the attacking reinforcement Glasner receives. The Austrian never seemed convinced by the Frenchman.
Crystal Palace have several failing loanees
Crystal Palace could also recall Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, however, Chris Wilder has hinted this won’t happen.
Rak-Sakyi has been a huge success for Championship leaders Sheffield United, however others have not been so lucky.
Edouard’s time at Leicester has been a disaster, as has Naouirou Ahamada’s spell with Rennes.
Malcolm Ebiowei has also been struggling for Oxford United, playing just four league games.
Due to this, Mark Bright should be under intense scrutiny. But the chances of the Eagles recalling seems slim.
