Man Utd are due to face Nottingham Forest in the Premier League fixture on Saturday afternoon.
There are a number of yellow and amber weather warnings in place over the North West as Storm Darragh sweeps across the UK.
Storm Darragh is likely to hit Greater Manchester from Friday evening and into Saturday morning and the Met Office have warned there is a 'slight chance' power cuts will occur and high winds may cause 'injuries and danger to life'.

As things stand the Premier League fixture at Goodison Park is the only top-flight match to have been postponed so far, ahead of Manchester United's home clash with Nottingham Forest on Saturday evening. United's home clash is currently set to go ahead, though things can change quickly, so supporters are advised to keep up to date with developments before making their way to Old Trafford for the 5:30pm kick-off.
A number of key events across Greater Manchester have already been postponed on Saturday, including Glow at RHS Garden Bridgewater, Manchester Made Market at Deansgate Square as well as the Heaton ParkRunBarnabus Santa Dash.
Elsewhere in the sporting world, Championship fixtre between Cardiff and Watford as well as Plymouth and Oxford United have been postponed, as have the League One clash between Bristol Rovers and Bolton and the League Two meeting of Newport County and Carlisle.
