Alexis Mac Allister has had his break from the Liverpool first team extended after the Merseyside derby was postponed. The final Goodison league meeting against Everton was due to take place on Saturday lunchtime until it was called off on safety grounds due to the destructive impact of Storm Darragh on Merseyside.
Having been cautioned during the first half of the 3-3 draw at Newcastle United on Wednesday, Mac Allister was due to miss the derby having accrued five Premier League bookings before the first yellow card amnesty after 19 games.
The midfielder will now instead sit out the visit of Fulham next Saturday afternoon. And with Mac Allister already suspended for the Champions League group game in Girona on Monday having picked up three bookings in the competition, the Argentina international will now not be available for Liverpool until the League Cup quarter-final at Southampton on December 18.

Mac Allister has previously featured in every Liverpool game this season and has not been involved just twice since returning from injury at the start of the calendar year.
Two other Liverpool players will be walking a disciplinary tightrope when they are next in action. Ryan Gravenberch's booking at Newcastle moved him on to four yellows in the Premier League, meaning he will have to negotiate another five games - up to and including the home game with Manchester United in early January - to avoid a domestic suspension.
Ibrahima Konate is also on four yellow cards in the Premier League and two in the Champions League, leaving him one caution away from a ban in both competitions.
However, with the France international recovering from a knee injury, there is a chance he may not feature again in the Premier League before the 19-game amnesty passes at the start of the New Year.
