Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City can all close in on Liverpool this weekend with the Merseyside Derby off.
Liverpool will have a game in hand over their Premier League title rivals - for the foreseeable future - after the Merseyside derby was postponed on safety grounds. The city's Safety Advisory Group met at Goodison Park on Saturday morning and decided that the match would not go ahead because of the risk to safety in the local area, owing to the ongoing impact caused by Storm Darragh.
All other Premier League matches are due to proceed as planned. That allows Arsenal and Chelsea to reduce the Reds' gap at the top of the table to four points.

ECHO verdict: The Reds inadvertently received a weekend off because the Merseyside Derby's postponement has seemingly delayed one of their more daunting matches until the new year. Their run of fixtures through to Boxing Day now looks more favourable than initially, especially in the aftermath of Tottenham Hotspur losing away against Bournemouth in midweek.
