Player’s clause ‘more than affordable’ for Aston Villa – Unai Emery eyeing ‘revelation’ amid impressive debut season

Aston Villa can easily afford to sign Osasuna defender Enzo Boyomo in January, with his €25m release clause not seen as a problem.

That’s [according to Super Deporte](https://www.superdeporte.es/fichajes/2024/12/06/emery-pesca-osasuna-boyomo-aston-112391236.html), who report that Aston Villa are keen on one of the ‘revelations’ of La Liga this season.

The newspaper reports that Aston Villa never lose sight of the big names in La Liga thanks to the large Spanish presence in the upper management alongside manager Unai Emery.

Boyomo is the next target as he continues to shine for Osasuna after signing from Valladolid for €5m in the summer. That investment has more than paid off and he’s been one of the revelations of La Liga so far.

He has a €25m clause in his current contract and Osasuna have made it clear that they ‘will not hesitate’ to sell players like him and reinvest the money they receive if clubs move.

That clause, while not cheap, is ‘more than affordable’ for Aston Villa and there’s a confidence they’d be happy to pay it for the 23-year-old.

Osasuna are already prepared and have replacements in the squad so they’re more than open to doing a deal if Aston Villa come forwards.
