Everton have been made aware of Mackenzie, the fan who flew in from Australia for the Liverpool clash on Saturday, according to Alan Myers.

With the game now being called off due to Storm Darragh, the Sky Sports news editor claims that the club will do something to compensate him.

There were doubts late on Friday evening about the game being called off and that is exactly what happened.

Myers wrote on X: “They are aware.

Asked if the club plan on doing anything, he responded: “I’m sure they will.”

Everton have to call Mackenzie back for the rescheduled Merseyside derby

The club should take significant steps to compensate Mackenzie for the match cancellation caused by Storm Darragh.

MORE TOFFEES STORIES

Given that Mackenzie is only 15 years old, this trip likely represents a monumental event in his life, possibly planned for months or even years.

The club could offer him and his family VIP access to a rescheduled match, or perhaps an invitation to an exclusive event at the club’s facilities.

Additionally, providing him with signed memorabilia or a personal meeting with players could make this ordeal a memorable experience.

Such actions would not only show Everton’s appreciation for their global fanbase but also foster goodwill and loyalty among supporters, especially considering the disappointment of missing the historic final season at Goodison Park.

Alternatively, he could even be brought back for the rescheduled Merseyside derby expected to be held in the first few months of the new year.

In other Everton news, an update has emerged on David Moyes becoming the new manager of the Toffees.
