Fans of Brazilian club Vasco appear determined to get Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis as their new owner, demanding that the club be sold to him.
That’s [according to O Dia](https://odia.ig.com.br/), who report that Vasco fans have graffitied their stadium in support of the Nottingham Forest owner’s takeover bid.
Marinakis is in the process of competing for Vasco alongside bidders from Italy, Arabia and America as the Brazilian club is up for sale following the downfall of 777 Partners.
The Nottingham Forest owner has already employed Arsenal director of football Edu to lead the charge, while a report this week said he’d also brought in Brazilian businessman Giuliano Bertolucci to act as a go-between in negotiations.
This news has been warmly welcomed by Vasco fans according to O Dia, who report that graffiti has appeared on their stadium stating “Sell (SAF) to the Greek” and “Welcome, Marinaki$”.
The newspaper explains that Vasco president Pedrinho has been avoiding questions about the potential deal but has admitted to signing confidentiality agreements with some interested parties.
Marinakis could be one of them, although he has been very public about his bid and intention to buy the club, who are looking for a new investor after ‘judicially’ recovering the club from 777 Partners earlier this year.
The fanbase have now had their say on the matter and it remains to be seen if that works out in favour of the Nottingham Forest owner.
