Crystal Palace host Manchester City on Saturday afternoon
Crystal Palace have released a statement regarding their Premier League fixture with Manchester City on Saturday afternoon. Pep Guardiola's side are set to travel to Selhurst Park for their second game in three days following Wednesday's much-needed 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest.
There was some concern over whether the match would go ahead after Everton's clash with Liverpool in the Merseyside derby was postponed due to Storm Darragh. A number of other EFL fixtures - including Crawley Town's clash with Stevenage in League One - have also fallen foul because of the weather.
However, fortunately for supporters attending City's trip to Palace, the game will go ahead as planned. A statement from Palace - released on their X, formerly known as Twitter, at 11.16am UK time - read: "Today's fixture at Selhurst Park is scheduled to go ahead as planned.

"We advise all supporters to plan their journey in advance and take care travelling to and from the stadium," followed by a red love heart emoji and a blue love heart emoji.
Plymouth Argyle vs Oxford United, Cardiff City vs Watford, Bristol Rovers vs Bolton Wanderers, Newport County vs Carlise United and Barrow AFC vs MK Dons are the other EFL matches to be postponed.
As for City, Guardiola will be keen for his side to back up that win over Forest and record another three points against Palace. With Liverpool now not in action this weekend, City can move to within six points of the league leaders and reignite their spark in the Premier League title race.
Speaking ahead of the game, Guardiola said: "I would say in the past I rotate a lot. I would say not always the back four the same. But now, this season it’s because we don't have it. We lost the two holding midfielders for long and after central defenders for a long time we didn't have it.
"Now apparently we come back and now we come back again with the problems. I have four defenders for tomorrow, no more than that. The schedule ahead of us, we have to handle it. It’s an incredible bruising and incredible challenge to do it.
"We break that bad run because it’s not easy when you don’t win for a long time and now we have to try and continue with the good spirit that we show. We will see what happens."
