Cup action and Liverpool’s European schedule is going to have to be considered, with the Reds already setting the pace in the Champions League.

Fantasy Premier League creator Ben Crellin has already suggested the game could be rescheduled for game week 24, 25 or 33.

Gameweek 24

Given Liverpool are unbeaten in the Champions League, it can be expected Arne Slot’s side are going to progress straight to the Round of 16.

This means February will provide a potential timeframe for the Merseyside Derby to be slotted in between Premier League action.

Everton will be playing Leicester City at home on the weekend of 1 February and Liverpool will be away to Bournemouth.

The FA Cup fourth round will then pick up on the following weekend – assuming both sides make it past their respective sides.

Gameweek 25

Champions League action will not pick back up for Liverpool until early March – assuming they finish in the top eight – which means gameweek 25 could be a possibility.

Starting the weekend of 15 February, Everton will be facing an away trip to the capital where they will come up against Crystal Palace.

Meanwhile, the Reds would be at home with a struggling Wolves side traveling north to play at Anfield.

Gameweek 33

Another date suggested is gameweek 33 which takes place the weekend starting 19 April.

This could be a good option for Everton with this slotting right in between the two Champions League quarter-final legs.

Liverpool will be eyeing European triumph in their first season under Slot; having to balance the Champions League and the Merseyside Derby could be a big issue.

Everton are scheduled to play Manchester City at home on this weekend, with Liverpool away to Leicester City.

The Friedkin Group expected to seal Everton takeover soon

The Friedkin Group are close to completing their takeover at Goodison with the new ownership expected to be in place by the end of the year.
