Harry Redknapp Predicts The Result As Chelsea Take On Tottenham

Ex-Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is expecting a draw when Chelsea face his former team on Sunday evening.

Despite touting Enzo Maresca’s side as title contenders, Redknapp wrote in his predictions for football betting site BetVictor that the two London clubs will share the points:

“Last week, I said to whisper it, but this week I’m going to lay my cards on the table. Chelsea are firmly in this title race! Enzo Maresca made seven changes to the side that faced Southampton, and he had the luxury of being able to sub Cole Palmer and Moises Caicedo in preparation for this big London derby.”

“I really don’t know what to make of Tottenham now. One minute they’re thrashing Manchester City at the Etihad and the next they are being held at home by Fulham and getting beat at Bournemouth. They have such a poor record of dealing with set pieces and Ange Postecoglou will need to sort that out before the next North London derby! I’m very excited for the match. Chelsea do look the better side by far, but I see Spurs turning it on here.”

What score has Redknapp predicted?

The former Spurs boss has gone with a 2-2 draw, which is a result that would disappoint Chelsea supporters hoping to get one over their rivals.

With Liverpool’s game against Everton also having been postponed due to Storm Darragh, the Blues could also potentially close the gap on the league leaders to four points so failing to secure a win would have consequences at the top of the table too.

Maresca has confirmed that Myklhailo Mudryk will miss the match due to illness, while Wesley Fofana and captain Reece James are both sidelined with hamstring injuries.

Spurs could have Cristian Romero back in contention but the likes of Micky van de Ven, Ben Davies, Wilson Odobert, Richarlison and Guglielmo Vicario will all be absent. Rodrigo Bentancur is also unavailable as he serves a seven-match ban.
