Cole Palmer has already proven he is one of the best players in the Premier League.
Following his move from Manchester City to Chelsea last summer, he scored 27 goals and laid on 15 assists in 48 appearances for the Blues. He was their player of the season and deservedly picked up the Premier League Young Player of the Season award.
Palmer was not done there though and this season he has carried on where he left off, scoring nine times already for Chelsea under new head coach Enzo Maresca and providing six assists in 16 matches.
It seems there is very little he cannot do, although he admitted in a video with Blues legend Gianfranco Zola that there was one thing he struggled with. "I don't have a right foot," he admitted to the Italian maestro and Chelsea hero.
That admission has been picked up on and Men In Blazers podcast host Roger Bennett could not help asking about it when having Palmer on the show this week.
But with Chelsea making the short trip to play fierce rivals Tottenham on Sunday, Palmer had a clear message for the Spurs defenders and any other teams he meets in the weeks and months to come. Replying to Bennett, Palmer said: "I'm working on it, it's getting better, so if anyone wants to show me on my right, feel free!"
Palmer has clearly vowed to improve his technique with his right foot and dared the Spurs defenders this weekend to show him on his right foot to see what happens. He was not giving too much more away, however.
When Bennett pressed him on his other weaknesses and if there was anything nio particular he was working to improve, Palmer replied: "I'm not telling you that, then the defenders will know!"
