Dates and locations for Manchester City’s opening three FIFA Club World Cup fixtures revealed

Manchester City’s fixture schedule for the 2025 Club World Cup in the summer has been revealed by FIFA.

Manchester City, who are the current World Champions after success at the 2023 edition of the FIFA Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia in December last year, will travel to the United States this summer to compete in an expanded 32-team version of the tournament.

Pep Guardiola’s side cruised to victory in the 2023 edition of the competition, defeating Urawa Reds 0-3 at the semi-final stage, and beating Fluminense 0-4 in the final in Jeddah.

The Sky Blues, who are facing the threat of failing to retain their Premier League title and dropping out of the UEFA Champions League after a dismal run of recent form, were drawn into Group G for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup on Thursday.

Manchester City will face Juventus (Italy), Wydad AC (Morocco), and Al Ain (UAE) in the group stages of the tournament next year, with the Blues being one of 12 European clubs to have qualified for inaugural event in the United States.

The Blues famously qualified for the tournament with UEFA Champions League success in June 2023, beating Inter Milan in Istanbul 1-0 to be rewarded one of the 32 places.

FIFA have now confirmed the tournament schedule, revealing that Manchester City will play their three matches between Wednesday 18th June and Thursday 26th June, at three different locations.

City will begin their Club World Cup campaign against Wydad in Philadelphia, prior to travelling to Atlanta to face Al Ain, and Orlando to play Serie A giants Juventus.
