Alphonso Davies and his team are now open to listening to offers from other clubs after a rift with Bayern Munich officials.
According to Christian Falk, Alphonso Davies is reportedly angry with Bayern Munich and how the contract talks have panned out. The representatives of the 24-year-old Bundesliga wide man are now open to listening to offers from other suitors, with Manchester United and Real Madrid linked with the Canadian full-back and set for discussions with his entourage.
Alphonso Davies’s future is a big subject around Munich as the full-back is yet to decide the next step in his career. As the Canadian winds down his deal at Bayern Munich, there are heavy links with a move away from the Bundesliga club.
Christian Falk has provided an important update with regards to Davies’s immediate future, with the German journalist suggesting the player’s camp is angry with the club. Reports were stating Davies was close to signing a new deal, but the truth is that he has been in dialogue about a new agreement to prolong his stay in Bavaria.
Falk has claimed that Davies’s agent, Nick Househ, had a trip planned to meet with Bayern officials, which he cancelled and instead held their meeting via a video link. Bayern Munich’s Director of Sports Max Eberl was not present at the meeting, which may have been the deal breaker from Househ’s perspective, which has led to an angry reaction from Davies’s camp.
Furthermore, Househ is now open to listening to offers from other suitors, meaning the agent will be in a busy mood in the upcoming weeks. Manchester United are keen on Davies, while Real Madrid are also in the mix alongside Liverpool and other clubs for the 24-year-old Bundesliga wideman.
Alphonso Davies to evaluate offers
Bayern Munich might have done themselves a disservice by the way they conducted themselves in talks with Davies. This has now opened the door for other suitors to make their offers known, as Real Madrid are one of the biggest parties in this chase, and they will soon meet his entourage, as will Manchester United.
Real Madrid are seen as the favourites to land Davies on a free transfer next summer, but one cannot discard the idea of English sides like Manchester United from the chase. In the end, things will come down to the money on offer.
