Barcelona star Iñaki Peña continued to prove himself worthy of the faith of head coach Hansi Flick, during the early exchanges of his side’s meeting with Real Betis this evening.
Barcelona are of course currently locked in action, at the Estadio Benito Villamarín.
Fresh off a timely return to winning ways in midweek at the expense of Mallorca, the Blaugrana are hopeful of opening up a seven-point advantage atop the La Liga table.
The early exchanges on Saturday, though, have been dominated by hosts Real Betis.
First, mere minutes into proceedings in Heliópolis, Raphinha was forced into emergency action, clearing what would have been a Verdiblancos opener off the line.
Then, it was the turn of the aforementioned Iñaki Peña to step up.
After former Barcelona talent Ez Abde found himself with a clear sight of goal inside the visitors’ penalty area, the Moroccan took aim at the far corner.
Peña, continuing to receive the nod for starting duties ahead of the more experienced Wojciech Szczęsny, though, conjured up a superb one-handed stop, as showcased below:
