Former Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus hasn't forgotten just how good the atmosphere at Anfield is - a full eight years after he played for the Germans in a dramatic European clash against Liverpool on Merseyside. Reus was part of the BVB side that lost an eventful match 4-3 to the Reds in the quarter-finals of the Europa League in April 2016.
It was a landmark occasion in the early days of Jurgen Klopp's tenure and it clearly left an impression on Reus, who is now playing in Major League Soccer with LA Galaxy after 12 years at Dortmund.
And speaking about that night at Anfield, Reus - who many Liverpool fans were desperate to see sign for the club at the time - admitted that, along with Leeds United, the Reds remain one of his favourite teams in the Premier League because of the atmosphere created that evening.

He said: "I like Liverpool. I played there once and it was an amazing atmosphere. The atmosphere between the players and the fans as well."
And when asked about the connection with his former boss Klopp, he added: "And that, 100%."
Reus scored 170 goals in 429 games for Dortmund and speculation that he would join Liverpool reached fever pitch after Klopp arrived on Merseyside in 2015.
The rumours and demands to 'sign Reus' were such that even Liverpool owner John Henry responded to them on Twitter, acknowledging the clamour for his side to sign the German.
