Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Julio Enciso will ask to leave the club in January and go to another Premier League team.
That’s according to journalist Christian Martin, with the information from him [relayed by La Nacion.](https://www.lanacion.com.py/futboledicion-impresa/2024/12/07/pedira-irse-del-brighton/)
The newspaper explains that Martin was recently on Versus radio where he was discussing Enciso’s immediate future.
He’s found himself outside of Brighton’s plans this season and appears to be growing increasingly frustrated with the situation, recently publishing comments on social media that have been interpreted as such.
Martin says the player certainly isn’t happy with his current situation and ‘will ask to leave’ the club in January to ‘have a greater opportunity’ elsewhere. His plan is to ‘another club in the same league’, so a Premier League side, but the journalist doesn’t name any names.
There’s also no mention of whether Enciso is seeking a permanent exit from Brighton or just a loan deal until the end of the season. Either way, Martin insists he will ask the Seagulls to depart once the winter window opens.
A report in Spain claimed that Sevilla had already asked about the midfielder amid talks over Valentin Barco, but it seems they won’t be a priority yet as Enciso looks to remain in England.
