Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis is reportedly set to make a key appointment as he looks to expand his stable of clubs.
In addition to the Reds, the Greek businessman also owns Olympiacos, in his homeland, and Portuguese outfit Rio Ave. According to The Athletic, former Roma chief executive officer Lina Souloukou is set to be appointed CEO of Marinakis’ multi-club model.
Souloukou’s contract is said to be in the process of being finalised, but should all go to plan she would oversee all three clubs in Marinakis’ conglomerate. However, Forest would reportedly be her priority amid her base being in London.
Marinakis is looking to take charge of another club, with his sights set on expanding into Brazil. He has confirmed he wants to buy Vasco da Gama.
Souloukou has previously worked with Marinakis at Olympiacos, where she had a stint as CEO. Marinakis is also in the process of arranging a link-up with former Arsenal sporting director Edu; should both contracts be sorted, it is said, Souloukou would join the Brazilian within Marinakis’ multi-club model.

Earlier this week, the Forest chief outlined his plan for a “global project” - with Edu a key part of it. He said: "Edu was a very good player and also a very good sporting and technical director. I have a lot of respect for him. The results we saw over the years at Arsenal were very good and he has done an excellent job at Arsenal.
"What I can say is that I would like to cooperate with him on a much bigger project, a global project. I'm optimistic that in case all this goes ahead, it will be another successful venture for both of us. I'm very optimistic about it, but we need to see how this will be developed and will be finalised, if and when time allows.”
