David Sullivan need to make Edin Terzic regret his decision to turn down an approach from West Ham as they seek out a new manager.
Despite Julen Lopetegui having only arrived at the London Stadium in the summer, following the departure of David Moyes from the club, his poor start to the season means there is plenty of pressure mounting on him.
With a game against another struggling side in Wolves on Monday [9 December], a loss in this match could mean the end of the Spaniard’s tenure at the club.
According to BILD, Terzic was given a “very specific” offer to take over in East London but the former Borussia Dortmund boss was not interested in the offer.

The news that Terzic is not keen on the job at the club where he was previously an assistant coach will have surely disappointed some supporters as he is someone who already knows the club well and therefore would’ve had a smoother transition into the club.

In addition to this, the 42-year-old would’ve been a good fit in terms of where the Hammers are looking to go as a team having taken Borussia Dortmund to a Champions League final.

You can understand why he was not keen on the job as the East London outfit currently find themselves sitting just six points ahead of the relegation zone and therefore, he would have a job on his hands.
However, we have seen the Hammers have the ability to compete further up the league and take part in European competitions having won the Europa Conference League in 2023.
With this in mind, Sullivan needs to get this appointment right and back his new manager so European nights can return to the London Stadium once again, which would no doubt make Terzic question his decision to reject the club.
