Awful news has emerged from this evening as West Ham confirm striker Michail Antonio has been involved in a serious crash.

The pictures showed severe damage to a silver Ferrari which, it was claimed, belongs to Antonio.
Claims stated the West Ham forward had been airlifted to hospital.
Now there is official word from West Ham United.
And it is very worrying indeed for the Hammers about their fan favourite.

Such is the nature of social media nowadays, Hammers supporters did not know whether the rumours were true.
Back in 2019, West Ham’s all-time leading Premier League goalscorer crashed his Lamborghini while delivering presents dressed as a snowman on Christmas Day.
Some fans thought the rumours on social media may have been a joke in poor taste relating to that incident.
But West Ham have confirmed the awful news in a week of turmoil at the club.
The incident certainly puts things sharply into perspective with the rumours swirling around the manager and unrest in the dressing room.
Supporters have been flooding social media wishing the Hammers forward well.
West Ham have pledged to bring a more detailed update on Antonio’s condition as and when they have it.
Antonio is one of the most popular members of the Hammers squad.
He has played 322 games for West Ham scoring 83 goals.
The former Forest striker has played in just about every position for the club since he arrived in bargain £7.5m move in 2015.
Antonio has four children and the thoughts and prayers of the West Ham family are very much with them and the Hammers forward this evening.
More on this as we get it.
