The January transfer window is rapidly approaching and the rumours are flying at high speed. Some of those are eyebrow raising like this one. Tosin Adarabioyo is now reported to be open to leave Chelsea in january.
Adarabioyo joined the Blues this summer as a free agent. He signed a long contract with Chelsea running until 2028. Hence, the 27 year old open to moving away from Stamford Bridge after just 6 months will surely raise eyebrows of Chelsea fans.
Adarabioyo has been very good in the recent seasons for Fulham. He has so far shown his high quality for Chelsea too. This season he has played 11 matches and has been able to display his highest quality.
But, Adarabioyo still finds him way behind in the pecking order. Fofana and Colwill are regular starters for Enzo Maresca whereas other gets equal opportunities. In addition, the Blues are very likely to sign some more defenders next years which will increase competition.
Is Tosin Adarabioyo leaving Chelsea in January?
As per Foot Mercato, Adarabioyo is willing to join West Ham United in January. Hammers are struggling at the moment and will make some key moves in winter window. This is not the first time they have been linked with 27 year old.
Earlier in summer, Adarabioyo was on the radar of West Ham but he choose Chelsea instead. But, the move has not worked out for him and hence he may join West Ham in january. Hammers are planning to sign the 27 year old on loan instead of handing him permanent contract.
West Ham already have Todibo and Soler on loan. Hence, they cannot sign Adarabioyo on loan unless they convert any of the current loan moves in permanent. They can also get rid of any one of the loanees in order to land the Chelsea star.
Live Updates
Chelsea are set to face Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium tomorrow. Adarabioyo will hope to start the game again just like he did in mid-week. Fofana will be out until next year and hence Colwill will need a new partner. As of now, Adarabioyo and Disasi are the two possible replacements but Maresca can also give Badiashile chance to start.
