Crystal Palace will ultimately have been unhappy to have dropped two points against Manchester City on Saturday.
It was a third successive game unbeaten for Crystal Palace on Saturday as the Eagles twice dropped a lead to Manchester City at Selhurst Park.
Daniel Munoz was the man who gave Crystal Palace a 1-0 lead in the third minute, however, it was not built to last as Erling Haaland soon made it 1-1.
The second half saw yet another lead for Crystal Palace with Maxence Lacroix converting Will Hughes‘ corner. This was the 29-year-old’s second assist of the game.
This could well have been the winner if not for Rico Lewis scoring another equaliser for City, minutes before he was sent off.
Hughes was Crystal Palace’s star man on the night, and after the game City staff and players have been reacting.
Pep Guardiola compliments Crystal Palace
It is now one win in six for Manchester City and Pep Guardiola, and this will no doubt have the serial winner baffled as to what is going on, considering he is not accustomed to this sort of form.

Speaking after the game to the press, as quoted by BBC, Guardiola admitted he was very proud of his team, high praise for the Eagles that the Spaniard was happy to draw.

“We take a point. We fought incredibly hard and came back twice. It’s a season to suffer. We’ll see what happens in the last month.
“We tried. Big compliment for the opponent.”
Guardiola also told journalist Dom Smith, “They were really good. The way they finished last season, I was incredibly impressed. I’m so pleased for Glasner. He’s doing an incredible job. A lovely person.”
Before December, this run of games before Christmas looked daunting but Glasner has managed to turn the season around with some very impressive performances.
Bernardo Silva says Selhurst Park is always difficult
Also speaking after the game was Bernardo Silva who claimed Selhurst Park is a tough place to visit while praising the Eagles’ ability from set pieces.
“We know our situation with injuries. Coming to Crystal Palace is never easy but we have to do better.
“When I finish a game and I get a point I’m not happy. It’s not the way we built this team, it’s not our standard.
“We know how tough it is to come here when we have all our squad and we’re in top form. We have to do better, we have to react better to the second balls. We have to give them fewer opportunities on set pieces.”
The Eagles’ defence has frustrated all of the big sides this season, which makes us think if Glasner could just get the offence ticking against the sides around us in the league, relegation would not be feared anymore.
