Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has this evening made clear his frustration with his players, on the back of their meeting with Real Betis.
Barcelona were of course back in action a short time ago.
Fresh off a return to winning ways at Mallorca in midweek, the Blaugrana made the trip to Seville, for a La Liga meeting with the aforementioned Real Betis.
When all was said and done, however, Flick’s troops saw their win streak brought to an end at just one game.
As much came after Barca twice surrendered the lead at the Estadio Benito Villamarín, en route to an eventual 2-2 stalemate.
With Betis’ decisive equaliser having come deep into injury-time, it should in turn come as little surprise to hear of the visitors’ headmaster being in altogether foul mood post-match.
Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle this evening, Hansi Flick did not hold back in his criticism of his players:
“I’m disappointed, very disappointed. I’m disappointed with what happened on the pitch. In the second half we wanted to improve after the first half performance but… We needed to win this match.
“I know I changed important players, but we played very badly from the start. We needed fresh legs, we have an important Champions League game on Wednesday.”
