Louie Barry in action for Stockport

League One promotion contenders Stockport held onto their play-off spot with a 2-0 win over Exeter. An unfortunate own goal by Tristan Crama in the second half gave County the lead, before Aston Villa youngster Louie Barry sealed the victory with a late penalty.

The on loan Villa youngster Barry had an early chance to score but hit the side-netting, while Caleb Watts missed a golden opportunity for Exeter with a free header. Despite dominating most of the first half, County only managed to break the deadlock on the hour mark when Lewis Bate's shot from the edge of the box hit the post.

The hosts finally scored in the 67th minute when Crama accidentally knocked the ball into his own net after Kyle Wootton's initial shot was saved by goalkeeper Joe Whitworth. After hitting the post from a narrow angle, Barry was brought down in the penalty area by Crama following a swift run down the left.

The prolific forward calmly slotted home his 14th league goal of the season.
