A statement has been released by the police following a car crash involving former Nottingham Forest striker Michail Antonio.
The 34 year old was involved in a road traffic accident on Saturday, December 7, with his club, West Ham, confirming that he is "stable" and "communicating".
The [police](https://www.nottinghampost.com/all-about/nottinghamshire-police) statement read: "We were called shortly after 12.50pm on Saturday 7 December to Coppice Row, Epping, following reports of what is believed to be a single vehicle collision involving a Ferrari."
"Emergency services attended and the driver has been taken to hospital. The vehicle has been recovered and we are no longer on scene. An investigation will be carried out by our Roads Policing Unit."

In a statement, West Ham confirmed that Antonio had been involved in an accident.
