West Ham United have enquired about Douglas Luiz ahead of the upcoming transfer window, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The news outlet reports [7 December] that the Old Lady are open to selling the midfielder in January to raise funds, and the Hammers have shown an interest in him.
Fulham are another Premier League outfit keeping an eye on the Brazilian and have also spoken to the Serie A giants about a potential move.
Luiz was an influential figure at Aston Villa and moved to Juventus in the summer, but has been unable to showcase his talent in Italy.

It’s almost certain at this point that the 58-year-old will depart the East London club sooner rather than later, even if the result at home against Wolves on Monday [9 December] goes the Hammers’ way.
While Lopetegui needs to take a massive chunk of the blame, most of the players haven’t performed up to the mark either, especially in the engine room.
Edson Alvarez’s form at West Ham has dipped, and Guido Rodriguez has failed to get to grips with the English top flight.

Luiz is someone who was a leader at Villa, posting impressive numbers last season in all competitions with 10 goals and assists each.
But things haven’t gone to plan for the 26-year-old at Juventus as he’s failed to establish himself as a key member of Thiago Motta’s plans.
Tim Steidten could work his magic again in January and convince the Brazilian to return to the Premier League.
In other West Ham news, an update has emerged regarding Tosin Adarabioyo as the Irons eye a transfer.
