Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White rubbed salt into the wound of Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana after admitting he didn't expect to score in their shock 3-2 win.
Nuno Espirito Santo's side secured a deserved victory at Old Trafford after goals from Nikola Milenkovic, Gibbs-White and Chris Wood condemned Ruben Amorim's side to back-to-back defeats.
The England international's effort had a slice of good fortune about it, as his harmless effort somehow found its way past Onana from 20 yards.
The Cameroonian endured a nightmare 90 minutes after also making an error for the winning goal and the 25-year-old said he was expecting the £47million stopper to save it.
When asked by Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp if he thought the ball was going in, Gibbs-White said: "I didn't at all, to be fair.
"I don't want to discredit Onana, he's a great goalkeeper. Incredible keeper. But when I first saw the scuff I thought 'ah he's going to pick it up'.
"You count them all, don't you! I'm happy to contribute to the team and help get three points."
Gibbs-White put in an influential display as he also set up what proved to be the winner when Wood headed into the far corner from his cross.
And the New Zealand striker praised his team-mate for producing a quality moment: "Morgs [Gibbs-White] has put in a fantastic delivery, he's got quality the boy," Wood said.
"It's just about finding areas to cause confusion."
