Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo wants Nottingham Forest fans to enjoy the moment after the Reds won at Old Trafford for the first time in 30 years.
Goals from Nikola Milenkovic, Morgan Gibbs-White and Chris Wood clinched a 3-2 victory for Forest over Manchester United. Having triumphed away to Liverpool for the first time since 1969 earlier in the season, this was another historic moment for the club.
It came courtesy of Wood sealing his place in the Forest record books, too, as he became the club’s all-time top scorer in the Premier League with 25 goals. But for Nuno, key to the success was the spirit of his team.
“It means a lot for us as a club. Forest is a huge club that hasn’t had special moments like this for a long time. We should celebrate and be proud of this,” he said.
“Me, I think about Villa. Let the fans celebrate, now we will start to prepare for the next one.

“But I’m very proud of being part of this group of players and the squad. We are trying to do something together and build something nice.”
Milenkovic had opened the scoring with less than two minutes on the clock and Gibbs-White put the visitors back in front early in the second half after Rasmus Hojlund had levelled. Wood made it 3-1 to the Reds and they survived a late fightback after Bruno Fernandes had reduced the deficit.
“We scored with the first action of the game, and that makes everything different. United reacted very well and it took us too long to adjust in the first half,” Nuno said.
“We adjusted better in the second half and the beginning was very good for us again. We went in front again but we knew United would react, so then it is about unity and hard work. If you ask me what was the key, the togetherness and the hard work of the players was it. We’re really happy.”
