Man Utd 'target £35m defender' after Chelsea and Tottenham have bids rejected

Manchester United are reportedly eyeing a move for Chelsea and Tottenham target Patrick Dorgu. The 20-year-old left-back, recently named Denmark's Young Player of the Year, is set to depart Italian side Lecce in 2025.

United dispatched club representatives to Italy last weekend to observe the highly-rated youngster during Lecce's last-minute draw against Juventus, according to the Mirror. Ruben Amorim is eager to bolster his options at left-wing back, with Dorgu being the latest player under scouting scrutiny.

The Red Devils also kept tabs on Juventus' promising attacker Kenan Yildiz. It's understood that Lecce rejected advances from both Chelsea and Tottenham for Dorgu during the summer transfer window.

The Blues had considered loaning the talented defender to affiliate club Strasbourg if a transfer agreement had been reached. Dorgu, who has netted three times in 13 Serie A matches this season, is anticipated to command a fee of up to £35million.
