Arsenal star's agent 'demands to leave' but Mikel Arteta blocks transfer

Arsenal are reportedly set to reject any January offers for Jakub Kiwior. The Polish international defender impressed in his first Premier League start of the season against Manchester United, sparking renewed interest in his services due to his limited game time this term.

Italian heavyweights Napoli are among a host of potential suitors, with AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus also keen on the 24 year old. However, Arsenal stood firm in August, informing the player and his agents that he would not be leaving north London despite various approaches, according to the Mirror.

Bologna and Villarreal were interested in a loan deal for Kiwior, but Mikel Arteta was unwilling to deplete his squad, expecting the centre-back to get opportunities throughout the lengthy campaign. Despite being on the periphery of Arteta's squad, Arsenal still appreciate his versatility and intend to retain Kiwior until at least the end of the season when his future can be re-evaluated.
