Manchester City are having to get a coach home following their 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park after their plane was grounded because of Storm Darragh.

Pep Guardiola ’s team dropped another two points as their hopes of retaining the Premier League title took another blow in south London.

And to compound their misery, City stars are facing a four and a half hour drive up the M6 instead of a quick flight north.

They had to come from behind twice against Palace with Erling Haaland cancelling out Daniel Munoz’s early opener before Maxence Lacroix put the hosts back in front.

Guardiola said City needed to "survive" this season after their run of torrid results continued at Selhurst Park as he rued the absence of key players.

"This season started difficult and will be more difficult than last season. We have to survive this season, every game, try to take points to win games and go forward. We know it and feel it and unfortunately we are also missing important players."

When the Spaniard was asked if City players were suffering from tiredness, he replied: "No. We played the last 10, 15 minutes with 10 against 11. We have seven potential starting 11 injured, and a lot of players with minutes.

"The physicality for Crystal Palace is there, but we were there and we did try everything to try to win. I am really proud and pleased for the players."

It doesn't get any easier for City as they're set to travel to Juventus in the Champions League on Wednesday before a huge Manchester Derby clash against Ruben Amorim's United next weekend.
