The Orlando Magic will be without Franz Wagner indefinitely because of a torn right oblique, the team announced on Saturday. Wagner will be examined again in four weeks, and his eventual return will depend upon his recovery from ongoing treatment.
The Magic are now without two of their top players, Wagner and Paolo Banchero, due to the same injury.
With a 16-9 record, the pressure is on Jalen Suggs, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Moritz Wagner to step up with so much talent sidelined. Orlando leads the Southeast Division and is third in the Eastern Conference behind the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics.
NBA fans flocked to social media to wish Wagner the best in a breakthrough season with the Magic on his shoulders.
