The Golden State Warriors began the 2024-25 NBA season on a high note but have stumbled the past two weeks.
In a loaded Western Conference, any sort of losing streak can drop a team several spots in the standings, and that’s what’s happened to the Warriors.
Injuries to key rotation players have been partly to blame, though it also appears as though Golden State has started to regress to the mean on both ends of the floor.
Stephen Curry remains one of the league’s best whenever he’s available, but even he had trouble leading his team to a win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Warriors were blown out by the Timberwolves in a recent matchup, with Anthony Edwards leading the way for the victors.
Afterward, Edwards revealed that he and Curry were trash talking each other on the court.
“He be trash talkin’ out there man, for sure,” Edwards said, via “SportsCenter.”

Curry is known for his 3-point shooting accuracy and ability to heat up in a hurry, though not many people peg him as a trash talker.
Edwards’ comments might come as a shock to some, though Curry’s been seen in previous high-profile matchups to talk his talk on the floor.
Golden State’s history with Curry shouldn’t be discounted when considering its championship hopes, but the Warriors clearly need to get more help for the superstar if they hope to crack the inner circle of contenders this season.
