I played for Chelsea and Tottenham - only one made me feel like the king of the world

William Gallas is the only player to have played for London's three biggest teams. The former defender joined Chelsea in 2001 before spending four years at Arsenal and ending his time in England with Tottenham.

The Frenchman appeared 445 times in England across a 12-year period. However, he is largely remembered for playing for all three London clubs. After winning two Premier League titles at Stamford Bridge, Gallas moved to Arsenal, infamously taking the number 10 shirt.

He spent four years at the Emirates Stadium before moving to fierce rivals Tottenham on a one-year contract. Shortly after his arrival, Gallas stated that he believed Spurs had the potential to win the Premier League.

Despite spending time at all three London clubs, Gallas has gone on record to insist his period with Chelsea brought the best out of him. Asked which spell did he have the most memorable in, he told Sky Sports' Fantasy Football Club: "If I have to pick one, I would say Chelsea as we won a trophy.

"Jose Mourinho gave me that feeling and it's unbelievable. You are the king of the world when you lift a trophy. At Arsenal, I wanted to lift a trophy again, but it didn't happen. Or at Tottenham."

After Gallas left Chelsea, the Blues issued a sensational statement claiming the defender threatened to score an own goal if selected. The statement also insisted the defender refused to play before his move to Arsenal.

Now, ahead of Chelsea's clash with Tottenham on Sunday, Gallas has revealed he believes Enzo Maresca's men will be a huge threat to other teams in the Premier League title race next season. "Enzo Maresca knows Chelsea are not in the title race. I think the same thing," he told Prime Casino.

"Chelsea are not ready to compete for the Premier League title this season. I said to you, Chelsea will be ready next season. Next season they will be ready, because right now it looks like they are going to finish around fourth. But next season they will be ready for the race.’

Gallas continued: "That’s why teams like Arsenal, if they don’t win this season, next season it will be difficult because Chelsea will be there. United will be there. City will be there again.

"Next season will be a big season with several teams competing for the title, and I don’t think Arsenal will be challenging for the title next year. I think the increased competition will give Arsenal a lot of problems next year."
