"Every game is a new history, so you have to focus on the opponent and what you have seen in training and in games," he told reporters. "You want to use different players with different characteristics when you see an opponent, you imagine the type of game. That is the reason. Rasmus also scored two goals and went to the bench, so we try to find the best team to win matches."
Mason Mount was also brought on to replace Bruno Fernandes as United chased a late equaliser and Amorim admitted he felt there was a need for fresh legs when he took the huge decision to remove his captain from proceedings. He added: "I understand that Bruno is really a danger near the box, he scored a goal but Bruno is tired. I felt with Mason Mount he also in set pieces, he can score also because he is very technical and we need fresh legs and you see the game, transitions. If you suffer another goal it is over so I use all the subs. I feel Bruno was a little tired."
