Manchester United have slumped to a second straight defeat under Ruben Amorim after losing at home to Nottingham Forest on Saturday evening.
Manchester United started the Ruben Amorim era with a draw and two defeats, showing some small signs of progress under the new boss.
The last few days have been much more challenging for Amorim though with United falling to a 2-0 defeat at Arsenal in midweek.
Amorim was hoping to get back on track against Nottingham Forest but Saturday evening turned into an absolute nightmare.
Forest took an early lead through Nikola Milenkovic and whilst Rasmus Hojlund hauled United level, Forest established a 3-1 lead in the second half.
Bruno Fernandes pulled another goal back for United but there was to be no leveller as United lost for the second time in just a few days.

United fought back to level the game up at 1-1 but really couldn’t find any momentum in the second half.
Forest’s goals were fairly soft with some weak defending and questionable goalkeeping ultimately harming United.

United fans will give Amorim time to turn things around at United and will be well aware that this is no quick fix job for the 39-year-old.
Amorim is still learning about his United squad and that may mean some strange decisions at times.
Owen Hargreaves thinks Amorim will regret substituting Bruno Fernandes against Forest with Mason Mount coming on in his place but having little effect.
We should perhaps expect more tinkering from Amorim in the games to come as he forms opinions on his players.
United have big games coming up though, starting with a must-win Europa League clash against Viktoria Plzen on Thursday.
United then take on Manchester City in Amorim’s first big derby game before an EFL Cup quarter-final clash with Tottenham Hotspur.
Bournemouth at home is United’s final game before Christmas so Amorim now faces four huge games before a Boxing Day clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers – and a response is needed after this latest defeat.
